Monday-let's continue being sick

Haven't had Monday Blue in a long long time already. Blue not bcos of work (i'm like working 24/7 already), but bcos of being sick and JCH is sick too. Spent the weekends listening to his laboured breathing, occasional choking and trying to suck out some of the mucus from his nose. It always end up a 'fighting' situation as he will start pushing me away using his hands and legs, turning his head away and squirming his body, and then bawls.

So we finally brought him to pd today (ya like again). Waited for a long time before we finally saw the pd at 540pm, and we were there to register around 420pm. Some pd-hogging went on for 2 families. Well, this shows that we've got a good pd right? Like if one day we really need to hog him, we can and he is patient with it.

One advise that he gave, which any mommies out there might want to take note, is that if babies have flu, it is ok. Like not a very bad situation. But if its flu plus cough, then have to be on alert cos that would mean a possibility of lower respiratory tract infection (ie lungs). So for now, thank God JCH only has like flu. So got prescribed a nose drop to dry up the mucus (we told him it was watery mucus). If the nose drop doesn't work, then feed liquid Zyrtec.

The thing is, after we got home from the pd clinic, I hardly hear any laboured breathing from JCH! He is now like sleeping soundly, and no laboured breathing, no sudden choking, just normal silent sleep. For the past two nights, he couldn't get good sleep. Would breath really hard, and sometimes gets choked and wakes up, and really just keeps shifting his head from left to right, right to left, squirming his little body side to side, just really trying to find a sweet spot to sleep. Much like when we have got bad flu.

I am just so glad that he is able to sleep well tonight. As for the meds, we'll keep it in the fridge for future use (up until expiry). And I think with him sleeping well, means mommy me can sleep well tonight. Am dealing with my own sickness at the same time. So sucks la. Like he had thrush, recovered, and got the nose thingie, and I got sick that same Saturday night. There's a virus or bacteria spreading around in the house, most definitely. First was hubby being sick since last Monday. Then JCH+me, and now I think SIL and MIL not that well.

Just hope that this thing clears up fast from this household and stop going around like merri-go-round bcos it just ain't that merry afterall!! BAH!

On a lighter note, JCH has finally managed to flip himself over totally without the jammed hand! Saw him sleeping in this position this morning, when I came out of the toilet after washing up his bath equipment.

Not much pictures now, gonna sleep already. I might just start cooking my own lunch sometimes now. Shall see how things go.
