Last scheduled pd visit for now

Brought JCH to his pd today for his last 2 jabs. Next appointment will be when he's 1 yo, which his pd has advised we might want to do it later bcos it will be near to CNY, and its totally not so fun to be having fever during CNY period. Aikz! So, we shall see how. For now, he's done, no more jabs till 2014! Brave baby has endured it all! Especially today's.

Went to the clinic and he was sleeping. Hubs was carrying him cos he's getting heavy for me to carry now. Took him out of the Ergo, and took his measurements. Clueless little baby has totally no idea what was awaiting him. Played and smiled at the kind jiejies there, and a Caucasian mother who adores him. Both her boys are quite grown up already. Reminds her of the good old days I guess. :) Went into the pd's room, and when pd started to lift him up to sitting position by the hands, JCH started bawling like mad. Had to calm him down before we can proceed with the checking of his body. Who says 6 months old doesn't recognize things/places/people? He does! Haha, now he knows what he's in, but there's no getting away. As it progresses he starts to be happy again. "Hmm, no stinging yet, so means today no jabjab rights?" Or so he thinks!

So the checking is all done, and we're ready for the jab! First jab in, as usual, he froze for like 2 seconds before bawling. While pd was pasting the plaster and getting ready for second jab, JCH calmed down. In goes the second jab, this time freeze for another 2 seconds and he bawled non-stopped. Carried him up and walked to the hanging giraffe plushie, and he calmed down, but was still scolding people. Super funny. Should have gotten hubs to record his scolding process. A lot of stories can be told! XD He grabbed hold of one of giraffe's leg and refused to let go when we had to leave! Eventually the pulling force (I was walking further away from giraffe) overpowered his grip, plus daddy came to 'rescue' giraffe, and we are out of the room.

While making payment, I requested for stage 2 FM sample for NAN. The nurse very kindly offered samples for cereals as well. Just when I was gonna ask for sample for Similac too, I saw the sample the other nurse took and I just zipped up! Too paisey to ask la! The NAN sample is a 400g tin lo (see picture below)! Totally didn't expect, hubs too. Is it normal to get such big sample size? Lol!! We were kind of expecting like loose packets only. 400g think can last 2 to 3 days. Happys much! If JCH can accept the change in brand, we will buy NAN. If not, I will thick skin call and ask for sample of Similac, then go and collect. Hehehe.

Silly boy got tired after the pd visit (as he always do, especially if its jab related) just like after swimming at baby spa, slept soundly while we ate dinner at TCC. Left him on the sofa to sleep more comfortably. We both had one leg each at the edge of the sofa to deter him from turning, but this boy was so tired out, he didn't moved at all! So now observing his reaction towards NAN, hope it works out for him.

And I think porridge's working out for him too!! Yipee!! Did a better job of making porridge for him, or in my terms, porridge paste. Had blendered Jasmine rice (organic) to smaller grain on Tuesday night, so that cooking time is greatly reduced. Cooked the rice till it was like expanded, and super porridge like, and then passed it through a sieve. So end result is like below, porridge paste! Hahahas. He ate about half of what I cooked for him for lunch. Yipee!!

So, tomorrow's Friday and if he is well, I am going out to Cold Storage to get some sweet potatoes for his porridge! I can't swallow beyond 5 mini spoonfuls of that bland porridge. Bleah. My portion I could add in dried prawns or ikan bilis, some salt, oil to taste, pepper may be. But baby? KOSONG! Raahhh!! His thrush looks like all well to me today, but, be on the safe side. Next week, next week we'll be back on tasty and interesting purees plus your porridge paste baby! <3 <3 <3

Anyway, a sneak preview of my next post. Which of the pictures have I not yet elaborated?? Teehee~
